Clouded North / Clouded North Records is the brand and label, founded by underground rap artist NTHN. 

At surface level, the name takes inspiration from the hazy sounds I gravitate towards in my production and, of course, cloud rap. I also find myself travelling a lot so I spend a lot of time in the clouds, where I really disconnect and write a lot of my lyrics. This, combined with my Northern upbringing and strong connection to my Northern culture and identity, which comes through in my vocals felt like a way to tie in a lot of what I am into the brand.

On a deeper level, making music started as a way for me to understand my thoughts and find my way through dark times, and still is. The name Clouded North represents those times when I lost my way, my true North, and by owning that concept, it feels like I've reclaimed my vulnerabilities and found strength in them.

Clouded North is the world in which my music exists, a safe space you can go to when you listen, where you are not alone with your thoughts. A space I've needed so many times and want to share with those who need it too.
